Kannur Sree Chemminiyankavu Devasthanam (ശ്രീ ചെമ്മിണിയൻകാവ്‌ ദേവസ്ഥാനം)

Chimminiyan kavu is much ancient as 350 years or even more. After 1918 the yearly festival had not been conducted for 38 years till 1956,even then daily lighting cerimonies were perfomed properly with d help of god. On 2006 a truste board had been constituted by the legal right owners from tharavadu, it consisted the devoties of chimminiyan kavu, tharavadu members (4 thayvazhikal) and public representative,There after the truste board under took all the responsibility of the kavu and they were able to conduct the yearly festivals, pooja`s and other daily ritchuals in a regular and proper manner. The truste board were able revive and renovate the elaneer padi and the kazhaka pura. Now the renovation works of the main sree kovil and guru samadi mandapam is also completed. The yearly festivals were conducted under the supervision of that same board on the days of Feb like 8-12 .There are thousands of family members for this kavu.and devotes even from abroad comes here for the migty gods blessings
